Hi Friends,
It has been awhile! I am thrilled to have just gotten back from some down time and am right back to it.

I am going to be getting to work on several projects that you can follow along with:
- Changemaker is going to be getting another round of speedy development. A lot of that work is going to fold directly into...
- Free Alberta! I hope to use this platform to more wholesomely develop the Changemaker platform in a "trial by fire" methodology. So far our systems are holding and servers are handling load well.
- Public Interest Alberta conference content is going to be released in chunks over the coming weeks. I presented my white paper If You Do Politics, Who is Reading Your Secrets and will also be uploading a video version of this presentation.
I am also committed to resisting the rise of fascist tendencies in Alberta and this governments apparent want to sell of our sovereignty. Here is a rant I posted elsewhere that illustrates the current moment:
Open corruption is the point.
Any MLA who supports this government is implicated.
This government is systematically dismantling public healthcare—breaking it, enriching insiders, and doing so through countless, hard-to-track methods.
They spread hate and misinformation to create disorder and panic. They've defunded Sexual Assault Centers. They are denying healthcare to children.
Peaceful protesters face violence from unidentifiable police who refuse dialogue. Our top bureaucracy is led by Edmonton's most well funded former police chief—who presided over record amputations and exposure deaths. They demand more police funding while infrastructure crumbles.
The Premier openly associates with actual fascists—not metaphorical ones. American white supremacists who support regimes that commit atrocities and are disappearing people of America's streets to put them in foreign death camps right now. Reminds me of how nazis built their first death camps for the undesirable elements of their society in neighboring countries and death marched their victims so they would not be visible to the general public. Funny how while this gets all the coverage, this time next week the province of Alberta will strip you of your right to a fair trial if you happen to have a a addiction so that they can ship you to a remote camp that is privately operated by organizations that have no accountability mechanisms.
Danielle Smith crossed the floor in politics. Now she crosses moral borders too.
This corruption will only grow. Scandals that would topple other governments pass without consequence. The harm is real: Albertans unable to access healthcare without payment, the homeless threatened with the cold, our land and sovereignty sold off.
Their callousness increases daily. This is deliberate—when we hurt more, we'll pay more.
Visit your MLA's office. Make your voice heard. The wellbeing of your aging grandparents, your children, assault survivors, and pregnant family members depends on our collective response.
We can resist. When extremists appear, our community responds in greater numbers. We provide food, shelter, and community for each other. We take up space.
We demand better. We are many. We are strong.
Freedom from the river to the sea.
Support your neighbors.
Haunt your MLA.
